Why it exists
Dictation built for legal work in Spain
A lawyer drafts all day long: briefs, claims, reports, contracts and emails to clients.
ablalo lets you get that draft out by speaking, in any program, so that the professional
only has to review it and sign it.
Time
Speaking is faster than typing
People type about 40 words a minute and speak about 160. ablalo turns your voice into text that is already written up: it punctuates on its own, removes filler words and repetitions and leaves the paragraph ready to review.
Legal language
Designed for Spanish law
It recognises more than 30,000 legal terms out of the box, applies the Libro de estilo de la Justicia (the style guide of the Spanish justice system) and inserts the current text of an article when you name it. It is not general-purpose dictation.
Confidentiality
Your voice doesn't leave the computer
Your voice and the recordings of hearings and meetings are transcribed on the computer itself, without uploading them to any server. The details are in the privacy policy (in Spanish).
ablalo speeds up the draft, but it does not write briefs by itself or replace the lawyer's
judgement: the review and the responsibility remain with the professional.
Who it is for
For people who write in Spanish for a living
For lawyers and law firms first of all, and also for advisory firms (tax, employment and
accounting), procuradores (court representatives), graduados sociales (employment law
practitioners), gestores administrativos (licensed administrative agents), expert witnesses
and in-house legal departments.
- Dictation in any program. Word, email, the browser, a PDF or the firm's case management software, with a keyboard shortcut and no plugins.
- Transcription of hearings and meetings. In the Hearings tab, on the computer itself, separating the speakers and with export to Word. How it works.
- Voice agents for the firm's phone. The same team sets them up: they answer calls, collect the details of the matter and book appointments, without giving legal advice. More about the agents.
